My kids have NO room to rebel whatsoever!!

My poor babies.. their dad and I have left them absolutely NO room to rebel against us at all....

Their Dad, my wonderful husband of 25 years, is an Ordained Minister and plays rock music and their mom works in porn.

Tell me, where do you rebel in a world like THAT?

And they say parents are at a disadvantage these days..... rotfl

nojob 11-12-2008 08:52 AM

I do not know what they could do besides get into drugs, everything else seems to be fair gaime.

czarina 11-12-2008 08:54 AM

as long as they don't become bible beating freaks, everything is good

cherrylula 11-12-2008 08:54 AM

haha, sounds exactly like my husband and I.

we even have tattoos! :1orglaugh

no kids, but if ever they will not be able to pull much over on us.

Tam 11-12-2008 09:11 AM

Well so far I have been very lucky. I call them little freaks, but they aren't..... not by today's standards. lmao

I told one of them to rebel and get good grades and graduate from school. lmao

This is a new thing for my husband, and I am not sure t his plans are, but I know he's serious about it.. and he wasn't ordained by a script, he's quite proud of that one. lol

He's a very spiritual person, but not a bible beater.... not like you would think when you think Jesus Freak. he thinks Jesus is a bit more compassionate than christians think he is. lol

I am not a bible beater either, I did it for this

I believe the tree of life in the bible was cannabis and jesus spoke the truth! I am a cannabis minster

however, i am atheist and do not believe Jesus was a god or son of one. He was what many call the Overman, or Ubermensch

Hmm, I'd be careful thinking they have no room. Kids are known for making a hole where there was no hole before..

You mean like in that one episode of Family Guy where they ban sex for students, and Meg and her new boyfriend start having ear sex?

Yes, you're absolutely right about that finding new holes thing. :warning

That is exactly what I was thinking... the only way to rebel is to be a scholar! LOL

My kids are 25, 19, 15 and 10... I am a little confident they are going to do ok.

Notice I said a LITTLE..... lmao

Tom_PM 11-12-2008 09:44 AM

Lol CD, yep. Extreme example, but yeah hehe!

When I was a little kid, I had a sexist 3rd grade teacher, a pot smoking priest and 5 older brothers with plenty of Playboy magazines to discover. Mom would look the other way if a bong was left of the kitchen table overnight or if the cops showed up asking this or that.

Trust me. We found ways to rebel even in the cool house! LOL :1orglaugh

Wouldn't really expect a 25 or 19 year old to be a rebel.. I never did any shit like that with my mum. I was by all means a good kid. I'm 25 now and would never think of making my mums life harder than it needs to be. The 10 year old might have some moments tho, but pretty sure with your experience you'll be able to handle it :)

Oh they try and rebel here and there, but with us both at home.. which we are very fortunate to be able to do, they can't get by with TOO much and they know it.

They are by NO stretch angels, lord knows.... but it could be far far worse. lol

Caught my youngest son, he'll be 15 next month, smoking and we reemed him about that one.. but it could be far worse. lol

Probably they will just do somethiing that you told them not to, out of pure defiance. Or they could just do nothing, since your household is a forward and progressive thinking one... they could just revert and choose not to be open minded... Who knows?? :) Regardless they will still be ok though...

We put them on computers when they were old enough to sit up by themselves practically.. it's their future so they needed to learn all they could and can so they are ready for it. At least in my head, this is the way I wanted to raise them.... we just make sure they have all those nasty filters on them and they have them right out in the open, NOT in their rooms. lol

Hell, 90% of their teachers barely even know how to turn a damn computer on around here.. I have had them call me praising my kids because they fixed their computers.. how sad is that? lol

I have one that is closed minded and boy is he ever INSIDE the box.... but he's smart as hell in the intellect side of things, just has no street smarts or thinking outside the box smarts. But the rest are extremely creative. lol

I certainly will. I don't JUST report the good... lol

Like I said, they aren't perfect and they DO make mistakes and plenty of them, but not anything on a huge scale like some of these kids today... simply because they don't get the attention they crave. :winkwink:
