I dont see how a dtmf dec would be dangerous - I already did reverse dmtf on my c64
so you can decode dtmf when theyre dailing on the radio or if the mike is very sensitive you can pick up from a few feet away on someones cell, if someone really wants to disguise who hes calling there are plenty of hardware tools for that |

Another fun and easy one is a POCSAG decoder. You can decode alpha pager messages. It's not as entertaining as it once was but there are still a lot of companies...and government agencies that use alphanumeric pagers (or so I have heard, I wouldn't personally do that or recommend doing that ;)) |

I used one once, I had a recorder on my phone, I let my girlfriend use the phone to check her messages then played it back with the device and got her security code:321GFY:1orglaugh
