60% Decrease In Worldwide Spam From Shutting Down 1 Host In California
wow! wonder if it's true.. doesn't really seem plausibe that one host could send so much..
Yeah thats nuts!
I noticed a couple of months ago that a lot of the shit I was receiving, suddenly stopped.
I had an email address on one box that got hit non-stop all day, and I would estimate that 75% of it magically disappeared. I constantly got those stock market emails and the Viagra/Cialis shit with every letter written in a different table. I figured somebody must have gotten the plug pulled. |
did someone end up in jail?
nice... 1 small step towards a big spamless world...
Its hard to believe that a US host was sending that much out. I would think they would have been cut off way earlier.
How incredibly hilarious and timely! Corey and I were just having a discussion about how much less mail we received today......
I'm so used to deleting spam every 5-10 minutes (just the ones that get through filters) that with today being so quiet I was thinking maybe something was in fact wrong :) (crossing fingers) Brad |
i was just thinking today about the huge decrease in spam i've been getting - i figured my ISP got new filtering software or something.
Must be nice for the remaining 40%

Incredible news. My gmail spam has decreased a good deal, but MSN spam has increased.

It actually just seems to good to be true so it probably is... I'm down more than 60% today in received spam, I'd go so far as to say 85%.
Brad |
wow did not even pay attention. I only got like 15 spam e-mails today no joke. For a while a few months back I got up to like 1,000 per day. wow just wow.
That's fucking incredible.
