This is for my IRA so I cant really cash out, but I might take some profits to buy some other ETF's and bonds but most of it I have a 10-20 year horizon so I'm ok.

Funny, I was reading this article from Morningstar about the myth that Reps are better for the market that Dems but historically, the S&P 500 has outperformed returns under Dems compared to Reps by 6.5%. Didn't know...

But I dont think this has anything to do with Obama, I think it's more people bottom feeding. We'll probably have a selloff tomorrow. Who knows..

pornguy 11-13-2008 02:40 PM

This has NOTHING to do with him.

I think it partly has something to do with people that have made some cash and have been watching the market. Now they will BUY LOW SELL HIGH in a shorter period of time and make even more back.

EscortBiz 11-13-2008 02:45 PM

remember right now the market only goes up so it can take your last few pennies

dont fall for this until there is remotely a plan on the way right now there is nothing

halfpint 11-13-2008 02:48 PM

We haven't seen the worst of the impact of the financial crisis. Credit Default swaps are at 12 trillion and that's only the figures that are accounted for. Expect the Dow to skid to below 7800 in the coming months. I wouldn't be surprised to see it hit a low of 6000. This recession will drag on for several years.

IllTestYourGirls 11-13-2008 02:54 PM

Three letters PPT was in full force today.

There's still quite a lot of long term value plays out there though

Furious_Male 11-13-2008 03:09 PM

Some are saying it was a solid test of the bottom. I don't believe that at this time. It looked more like a relief rally and profit taking by the shorts. We are going to trade in this range for some time to come.

IllTestYourGirls I used to think there may be some sort of PPT but I highly doubt it now. If there was it would have been used to get McCain in office. A few weeks before the election would have been the perfect time to prop up the market and make everyone feel good.

The PPT is something shorts use to bitch about when they get whipsawed. :)

The PPT does not care about who gets elected. :2 cents:
