Just thought I would share these samples from my new camera. Most of the shots are using no lights at all except the colorful blanket scenes. Im still getting the color right and messing with color profiles. If you have this camera then post some samples.

Quick Question JayRock ..

I've been having problems convering HD Ex1 content to fvl ... seems like the aspec ratio is off ... have you tryed converint to fvl yet ? I find MOV files too long to download for the user, some of my clients have complained (and this is just for them to see samples). So I decided to host flash for them to review my edits ..etc.) However I find the quality to really not represent the EX and the aspect ratio to be slightly of ..

Video seems to have been exported in full HD and in H.264 which is a great apple codex however it's a bitch to get right for web viewing.. .. I find you need to downconvert the mov to a smaller file and aspect ratio. This is a real problem with EX1 footage, I found the only way is to use Compressor straight off the time line (FCP HD) however this takes a crazy long time to compress! ...

It's a Great camera !!!!! I've been shooting with two of them since Jan. Love it ! well worth the investment .. My dvd distributor loves the quality it puts out on a regular DVD

I use Adobe Media Encoder from the timeline the setting are H.264 720 P 1280 X (aspect ratio) square pixels. Im not sure about the bitrate I used the template in Premiere for 720P high quality and bumped the quality up to 75 %


I didnt make these for surfers these are specifically for my clients to see samples. Most clients have at least computers that are 2 years old or newer. They should be able to play these fine. For surfers I use WMV 2000 KBPS and MOV H.264 2000 KPBS constant bitrate 1280 X 720 Keyframe interval 4

My site http://puresybian.com is encoding this way and I have had great results. Not as clean but definitely a step up from 720 X 480 4:3 videos.

I haven't been encoding to flash but I have sorenson for that if my clients need it. My only site is http://puresybian.com right now and its all encoded to the specs below.

WMV - 2000 kbps high
WMV - 1000 kbps low

MOV H.264 2000 kbps high
MOV H.264 1000 kbps low
