Texas grand jury indicts Cheney, Gonzales of crime
 

A grand jury in South Texas indicted U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney and former attorney General Alberto Gonzales on Tuesday for "organized criminal activity" related to alleged abuse of inmates in private prisons.

Aren't they protected by the Nixon era "official acts" doctrine? That doctrine is so powerful it even threw out some human rights cases (brought in US courts) against Third World dictators--eg., Ferdinand Marcos of the Philippines.
