Advice needed-what should I do with all the porn on my laptop?

I need to send a laptop for repairs and am wondering what I should do with all the porn content on it.

It is basically sponsor content that I had downloaded to put up on my sites, or to experiment with various encoding schemes, watermarking, combining, etc., both straight and gay. Its a pain to delete because it is all over spread over several "temp" folders I had created for different purposes and I will have to comb through everything to determine what I really need and what I don't.

My thought is to backup and delete whatever I can, but I want to stay away from getting into elaborate procedures to remove all traces and stuff. However being still short of time, what is the risk if I just keep everything as is and send it over?

Any advice/thoughts appreciated.

You could just remove the harddrive.

Backup to an external HD and use Eraser (http://www.heidi.ie/node/6) on the laptop.
That's why I try to keep all adult content on a huge single folder with many sub folders.

Wow seriously? go and get an external hard drive Ibook or something, I back all my files onto that just incase I get a virus on my system.

Use an external HD to move it off temporarily or leave it on there. If the tech is looking in your personal files then its his problem, he shouldn't be snooping around in document directories anyway only system files. Long as you have nothing illegal on there leave it.

External HD is your friend.

I would have to disagree, depending on where you live and who the tech is you could be letting yourself in for a world of hurt if you leave it on there. It would really suck if they contacted the authorities and you got accused of CP... Best to keep your work a secret from the ignoramuses in society.

Encrypt it with http://www.truecrypt.org (Free)

1. copy it to external hdd
2. delete it - you can find it all on tube sites so there's no use in saving that...
