Facebook won't see a penny of that settlement. Sad but true. The best thing they did was 1) got a spammer off their site and 2) put a nice shot across the bow of any other spammers that had planned to spam Facebook.

I like the settlement but everyone involved knows that Facebook will never see a cent. It was a statement settlement and nothing more. :2 cents:

Garnish what wages? If they're spammers then spamming was their job and they're probably too fucking stupid to do anything legit. The cash they did make is sitting pretty in an offshore account or in huge bundles underneath their beds.

Garnishing wages from Taco Bell is going to take a hell of a long time to pay that kind of loot. So Facebook will get $35 a week for the rest of his life?

Weird, I have had myspace since 03 or 04 --- Sure I've gotten some spam messages, but I'd say less than 20 over the last 5 years.

if i had that amount i wouldnt be spamming... what was in the head of those issuing this settlements..?

Looks like they are at least going to try and collect. If this was a script kiddie that was too afraid to show up in court, then he probably doesn't have big money offshore.
