Ahh.. the joys of being a grandmother...
Problem at my son and daughter-in-laws apartment blew out the electricity yesterday in their place and the maintenance people and the power company have decided it's possibly blown some internal wiring in the walls...
so... they're camped out at my place and my 8 month old grandbaby is cutting her first teeth. Finally poked through today sometime. Needless to say, she's not wanting to go to sleep and is humming to herself to stay awake. |
Johnson's and Johnson's kiddie valium.
Ok I joke. Dip his pacifier into some rum. OK that's not right. Hey when I grew up parents just did things different. |
Cutting her first teeth you say? Just be thankful that Grammas don't have to be on breastfeeding duty.
Yeowtch. :D |
It's a her..
<<---- see picture as my avatar. Did the Jim Beam stuff when she first started a few weeks back, but of course they left it at the apartment. |
Pretty child, too cute.
|
How lovely of you as her grandmom. The baby is so cute.
|
Thanks, I'm a bit biased.
She's got cheeks that are so pinchable! I think she's finally asleep for the night (crossing my fingers).. If not.. maybe I'm the one that's going to need the whiskey or rum. |
Gotta love it

I must admit I don't miss those days of teething!
|
My little niece is almost about to walk, and just fell on a pampers box and that top tooth that was *almost* through the gums broke through and she got her first boo boo.
Her Mom freaked out more than the baby, and then all was well. :) just what you needed to help you sleep PK! :1orglaugh |

Teething is painful. Look at how many of us adults are in pain from wisdom teeth. I have a wisdom tooth that just broke through the gum and I was in such pain. Poor baby. The frozen teething ring may help.

She likes her frozen teether. There are usually 2 or 3 in my freezer here. Funny thing with the wisdom teeth. I still have all 4 of mine and never had a problem with them at all. Went for a 6 month checkup at the dentist yesterday. The hygienist asked if I was ever going to have them pulled. I asked if something was wrong with them. She said "no.. that it can just be hard to keep them clean back there so many people just have them removed." I think I've had mine for at least 25 years..they're not taking them without a fight! |
