Fuck I hope so. I like em a lot. I had the first album before the big stations overplayed it like 6 years ago or whenever it was now. I love thier stuff.

The Killers rock. I love their stuff. The new album is great too!

Their new album is excellent. I am sure they have a huge future ahead of themselves, however, living up to U2's longevity will remain to be seen.

I only like the 2 singles off the first album. The rest of the stuff is meh.

I've liked most of their stuff to date. They have the stuff.

But to the same level of U2? Hard to say.... time will tell.

Strange that you make that comparison. I've always thought U2 was extremely overrated and I don't like anything I've heard from the Killers yet either, though that's only a few songs. So I guess for me, the comparison is pretty apt so far.

in know way shape or form will anyone ever be the next u2. u2s new album is due out very soon and will probably blow everyone away. seeing as how the band have managed to go 30 years so far. no band has yet to stay togethere that long and still have the new stuff played on the radio. most of em just release the album and the old fans buy it. it is not possible to compare anyone to u2 with the creativity and orginality that come from them. the live stage presence has never been seen from anyone that i can think of that bono has as well. seeing them 6 times in concert and 4 times right near the catwalks is just the most impressive show ive ever been too.. ive been to alot of concerts. from peter paul and mary, neil diamond. to stp and bush just to give the range of wierd diversity. u2 blows everyone away, im never in an arena were the whole crowd is singing every song. usually they just listen. killers will be lucky to last 15 years. i remember at one point people thought creed would last forever. they broke up along with limp bizkit and stp of course, not to mention gnr, van halen cant keep the original band for more then 1 second. as well as the almighty metallica. u2 same band, same crew for 30 years. cant beat that.

I'm not sure The Killers are change-the-world good, but I love that guy's voice and Bono's makes my teeth itch.

They're good, but it may be a little too soon to make comparisons like that.

peoples opinions are funny as to what they consider sucking. i guess even though u2 sold out every show for the past 2 tours, that counts as sucking. as far as ive heard they are definatley the most creative band over the last 20 years.

Agreed! Coldplay is quality, art, original. Comparing Killers to U2 is like comparing The Monkeys to The Beatles, no actually not even.. :2 cents:

The Flaming lips are going to be the next Pink Floyd, Wilco is the next Eagles but I think your right about Coldplay. They are positioned to be the next decades crossing mega band like U2, more so than The Killers.

BTW - That riff was a direct rip but who cares. Look at Zeppelin stealing Dazed and Confused didn't hurt them any.

I don't think they have any songs I don't like, a good group for sure.

Great... another half soft rock wanna be band that you can find in 100 local bars in just about any city in North America.

The wife likes Killers, and I'm not sure why. I'm not a u2 fan either... but come on, just listen to the lyrics. The experience shines through.

The Killers are good (I really enjoy their music) but not in the same league as U2. Not even close...
