How would you prefer to get paid? In Stock, PPS or Both?
I was recently asked by my business partner if I wanted go public. He has taken a few companies public before on the London Exchange and thought that with our unique mobile content offering on http://bustbox.com that we could create some interest and raise capitol.
I thought to take it a step further and issue stock to Affiliates that drive traffic to us. This would increase the over all value of the business and increase the price of the stock I think this is a great idea but to be sure I was on the right track I want to take a poll. How would you prefer to get paid? 1. High PPS ($40-$50) 2. Stock in a company in trade for Joins 3. Lower PPS and Stock Combo |
I would go for the lower PPS and stock combo. Give it try for a few months and check the ROI
I'd probably try the combo
That is what I am hearing I think that might be the way I am going. Short and long term investment. :)
Combo sounds reasonable
Lots of people who ar not posing............. are also saying the same thing on ICQ. Odd but true.
It would really depend on my trust in the company I promote. A lot of new companies don't have the spine to last long enough to invest in a long term business relationship.
I know you guys and I trust you, so I would go for the combo, but other then that, I would go for higher pps. |
With a good company, the combo.
Jason and Alex were going to do this years ago... they never ended up doing it, not sure what their reasons were.
i think that pps and stock
id prefer the combo as well
High PPS ($40-$50)
Combo would do for me too coz I trust the guys
High PPS all the way.
well lets break it down
how many shares do you plan on issuing to the public when going public what do you expect your market evaluation to be how many of those shares do you plan to allocate for affiliates how much do you plan on raising in the IPO answer those for questions and ill tell you whats up |
Interesting question Harv, I'll be interested to see what people answer
. |
in euro's will work perfect for everyone..
high pps in euros
for me, it's all about cash, so... show me the money!

Just the PPS thanks. The stock thing seems like a gimmick that I'm not really interested in being involved in.
Looks like eveyone is going that way this is a encouraging!
If I am a webmaster, I'd most likely go for the Higher PPS, always looking for money right now.
With the current state of the world economy, and the way banks are manufacturing money like a snow machine, I would personally grab all the money I can as long as it still is worth something. As an investor, I would support bustbox.com, as long term this is where business is going, and bustbox is in good hands. |

I would love to sign up and if you we decide that doing an IPO is the way to go then you will have a leg up on everyone! |
I'd like to get paid a nice salary plus commission personally.
I wonder if anyone outside of the USA would simply go with PPS rather than anything else. My feeling from webmasters is that they are open to try a few things, but need to know the security is there that whatever is chosen, isn't going to bite them in the ass later.
interesting idea Harv.. from the responses so far it sounds like you should offer both options though.. high pps for those who just want cash, and a lower pps and stocks for those who want the longer term investment
Given the recent stock market issues from just a month or so ago people might be a little hesitant to take ALL their payment in stocks...:2 cents: |
I'd try the combo out but depends on the terms of the stock options and what they are backed by.
I am starting to get the feeling that the combo is the way to go. And I we were going to do and IPO it would be on the German Stock Exchange with the option to trade on the US as the German Exchange is strong right now.
Sounds interesting. Hard to say without knowing all of the details. My vote would be PPS for now.
Id go for the comb a try.. b
that said combo deals that I like is not listed traffic trade and PPS but trades like this need to be watched.. if the other end is not matching sales then you need to switch it out for a higher pps pay. |
adult IPOs suck look at what is already out there.. take a big signing bonus and run
High PPS

Thats why I love ya Greg always lookin out for me. :) |
I would prefer PPS actually over stock....unless, it's stock in my own company. ;)
It would be hard to invest the money back into getting more traffic if I was paid out in stocks. I'd have to sell the stocks so why not just get paid a PPO to begin with?
stock sounds pretty nice
As it's basically a question of bird in the hand $ vs risk of course it would depend on the specifics of the offer when it came down to it.
But the option I almost always look for when it's something that I think is a good match for the traffic doesn't seem to be there. Recurring/Rev Share? Barring that I would have to say High PPS |
I like a combo, if presented with the option because then you have the immediacy of the PPS, but the long-term growth opportunity to maximise. Presents a level of ownership and incentive to make the company most profitable.
Stock is a sexy word, especially when it's a novel idea in an industry that never hears it mentioned, but I'll take the cash.
Combo would be my preference... But I think TheLegacy has a good point regarding non US webmasters. I don't think theyd touch it...
And you thought I wouldn't reply to your thread, lol... I still love you man :thumbsup |

Hey Great hearing from you BB. And your right I did not think that you would but thanks it is good to see ya still love me as much as I love U. It would be great to talk and get caught up soon. CALL ME! my number has not change and thanks for you :2 cents: you are old and wize. lol :winkwink: |
If the program is successful, why does it need capital? Moreover, how are you going to issue stock on a per join basis, the whole in conformity with SEC regulations?
I'd prefer high PPS, simply because most publically traded adult companies I know of never performed very well, with a few rare exceptions. It's still something many people wouldn't touch with a stick.
Benny you don't call ....you don't write....
