Depends on how good the rider is. I use to race 750 production for Kawasaki. Even though it's a 1000, I'd like to see him stay up with me in the corners.

Not to mention there are a lot of bikes out there that are faster then the CBR 1000

Jarmusch 12-19-2008 07:05 PM

I would imagine they only put capable riders in these things..

That would be easy to shake, just hit the brakes and watch it flip, or side-swipe it. In theory of course. Hopefully no one is dumb enough to run from any police vehicle.

It's a cool police bike and a welcomed change (imo) from the Harley style.

I use to have a CR 250 and a KX 250. I still like 2 strokes for dirt bikes but I have heard the 4's are awesome. Much easier to ride from what I understand. You don't have to stay in the power-band like you do with a 2 stroke

Was at a buddies house this past august and he supplies parts for races... couldn't believe when he said it is 4 stroke now. I said when I used to ride it was all about the power band... I guess 4 strokes are similar now. I believe it is just raw power now... not so much the power band

It all depends on the balls of the rider.

KX250 here. Yes, the riders say that the 4 stroke is much more dynamic in power, but personally I like the way you need to keep the rpms up in the good-olde 2 stroke engines.

On topic. Good luck to the drivers. A friend of mine died last year on one of those. Nobody saw it, but for some odd reason his front wheel lost traction (some say that something ran out on the road, it was a closed track in a forest), and he got propelled through a metal fence :( full body armor didn't help...

Imagine what shit can happen to a cop on one of those.

I dunno, I kind of read it differently, I think he really LOVED life. I think Ghostrider is dead now.

Nothing a few hundred marbles or large tacks in the road can't take care of.

andy83 12-20-2008 03:17 AM

did he escape from those cops or was he caught in the end?
