I've had it with Eudora
I've been using Eudora for years, well over 10 years and I've finally had it.
We have a couple of new computers in the house (Vista 32) and Eudora acts weird on both machines. The main thing is that the /attach/ folder can never be found by Eudora even though it does exist. So when you try to open an attachment in an email, the message is that it can't be found. I'm not sure if this is a problem due to Norton or if it's Eudora, but I'm fed up with it. What other email clients out there are recommended and can import Eudora history? Thanks. |
common prob with eudora the link below should help

Thunderbird?

In fact, when I browse Windows Explorer for the /attach/ directory, it's not there. But if I browse the folders inside Cute FTP, it shows it. |
Try out Thunderbird from Mozilla...

Sorry to hear that

I have been using Eudora for over a decade myself, but on Win XP in recent years. Maybe you need to clear out the attachments folder because it is too gigantic and stuffed with old files taking up too much space?

I used Eudora last century.....

Maybe the issue is Vista. I love Eudora.

damn! I used that centuries ago too.... been using Thunderbird.. its worthy.

I'm going to try to find out. I'm so used to Eudora. The filters are easy to use, and the way it manages multiple pop accounts is really better than anything else I've seen. |

I have to be honest... with as much as I used to bitch about Outlook for the last 6 years... since I bought a new PC with Vista 64 and also the latest version of office 2007, I'm happier than ever!!

Vista and Norton? I'm amazed you haven't thrown the fucking computer out the window. That combination is LETHAL!
