Really, my 2th time in the US and now in SF for visiting some friends before i leave to Las Vegas.

My friends leads us around yesterday.. its amazing how they build their houses on 46 hills but still crossing their fingers for an eartquake.

I can live here for sure:)

The earthquake issue concerns the actual ground and not the hills really.

The City/County of SF had a measure in Nov to make prostitution legal, but it didn't pass :/

Actually, its not legal. However, SF is pretty ambivalent about the sex trade in general (as long as its not on the streets) This was just in the local paper today:

No earthquakes my ass. You are aware there are at least 13 major faults and there has been some very serious earthquakes in Seattle and Washington in general right?

Plus on average 9 more inches rain per year and a higher suicide rate.

lol I lived in Seattle for a year...in the heart of downtown.

You can't even compare the two.

Any single district of San Fran blows away the entirety of Seattle by itself.

Cool place to visit but I don't know about living there. Too many steep streets. Don't think I'd like that too much....Just my :2 cents:

gotta love the city. the whole laid back attitude, some of the best food anywhere, pimpin nightlife, always something to do. what is there not to like.

Don't get me wrong, I love San Fran, but I prefer Seattle. San Fran is just god awful expensive. A $500,000 home will get you a crack house in San Fran, if you are lucky. I bought my house for $300K in south seattle a few years ago and I have a kick ass view of Lake Washington and it takes me 20 minutes to get downtown. $1,000,000 gets you 1000 square feet on Lombard Street? No thanks.

I can hit the ski slopes with a 30 minute drive (white pass, snoqualmie) go water skiing after work on Lake Washington, or go for a hike in the North Cascades or Rainier. Go fish on the Sound or the many rivers. Vancouver is a 3 hour drive, Whistler is 4 hours or so.

Yea, we get earthquakes once every 10 years, but nobody dies.

Again, I love San Fran, more options at a lesser price in Seattle.

Our sports suck though (but it isn't like the Bay Area is kickin' it either...)

Well, that's just not true, although there is a joke that in San Francisco the men are pretty and the women are strong... :winkwink:

Yum, the Ferry Building totally rocks, I could live for lunch and dinner there every day, but I'd probably weigh 500 lbs.
