Anyone here involved in choosing the domain submissions at the Internext Auction
 

I submitted a sick amount of great adult domains for review with Moniker for the Internext Auction. I cannot figure out why they only picked 1 for the live auction and 3 more for the extended auction. I had submitted most at least a week ago, and then last night I submitted really good ones. I submitted close to 2,000 domains.

Not sure what their looking for besides length, keywords, or traffic...maybe revenue. Anyone else have any names being auctioned off at Internext.

Yep me too ( no where near that number of submissions though LOL), I am hearing of another company that will be doing domain auctions soon though, I will keep you posted as I know more.

Maybe my submissions sucked and only I think they are good..... But knowing what was to be ruled on and how for submissions would have helped not waste my time or theirs I suppose.

You might be right, my names are with godaddy...the guy at moniker was trying to get me to transfer all the domains last year to them. Although he was offering a good price on .com transfers and financing...still a lot of money. I think I will call my moniker rep in the future and go over names for future auctions...and then transfer some to them that are strong.

They chose these out of all my names? I think I have much better ones.

The extended online auction has way to many names and your names get lost in the jumble.

After finding the list, looks like I have about 50-100 names chosen, but it seems the file that I submitted last night must have been sent to late for the auction...non of them were chosen.

SPREADINGASS [dot] com made the live auction.

Moniker auctions are the best, but who knows who is spending money this year?

I think it's kind of ridiculous to be honest, after spending 2 hours last year picking out all these great domain names I had and editing them to the spreadsheet requirements. NONE were picked!

I submitted over 100 and most of them (in my eyes) were $x,xxx domains.

Whoever picks the domains is either a picky bastard or a communist. LOL! ;-)

No I just ment that I have better names in my opinion then the ones chosen. I am surprised that some of the guys on GFY trying to hawk their names don't submit them. I guess it is the 20% commission you have to pay for them to sell your names. Good luck to all who got their names in the auction.

DON'T FORGET... to ensure timely payouts and to avoid the $100.00 transfer fee upon sale, be sure to transfer your selected domains to your Moniker account prior to the Auction event. ?:(

It means if your domains do sell in the auction, and your names are not transfered before the auction had started...they not only take their 20% commission fee, but also charge you a $100 fee. They do everything buy the book, and try to make sure after the auction is completed that transactions are done in a quick manner...so buyer and seller are happy. Just to make sure...you should email or call your rep at Moniker.

I love Moniker, but now that they are part of a bigger corporation.. communications with customers about the auctions has been harder.

The parent company should give them back some more authority.

I?m sorry your domain names weren?t chosen for this particular auction. All names were received and submitted for consideration, but submitting names to our auctions in no way implies or guarantees that all or even any of them will be chosen. We receive tens of thousands of submissions and have to get the list of names down to a minimum of 200 names for the live and approximately 2500 names for the extended.

The domain names selected for our auctions are selected based on a number of different factors:

Google and Alexa ranking
Search frequency and price of the related terms/keywords
Type in traffic (If supplied)
Wayback records, etc?

All of this data is considered along with the reserve prices that were set by you.

Once again, I?m sorry your names did not make the final list for this particular auction.

I think everyone thinks their names are good, but I spent over 1500 hours searching for my domains. I originally wanted to start in the domaining biz for resale...but since I decided to buy names that I liked....XXX. Then decided to get into the adult webmaster mode. Wish I would have just purchase one good name, and spent a couple of months building a great site....instead of making a ton of not so good ones with all the domains.
