Why all the tax issues with Obama nominations?
First Geithner had tax issues.
Then we learned Tom Daschle "failed to pay his taxes including $128,000 for a car and driver he was given." Now Nancy Killefer has resigned her nomination to become chief performance officer due to ?unspecified tax issues?. Maybe tax enforcement is going to be weaker this 4 years. That is lucky for most of you ;-) |
lol, this is so much fun to watch.

Nothing amazes me about those people. They are as bad if not worse than the ones they point the finger at.
|
ALL POLITICIANS HAVE TAX PROBLEMS, its only if someone wants to expose you or not...
oh and Daschle was saving money via "consulting" not just for a car... |
Because they have to pick on something, heaven forbid we actually get qualified people in government.
|
It's all about the change.

Taxes is what they get them on when there is nothing else.

I'd say most of gfy has nothing to worry about since they don't earn very much. Some of us might get assfucked harder.

In the case of Daschle...I for one...just off of the top of my head...would not have known that if a friend did me a favor and provided me with the use of a car and driver I would have to pay taxes for the favor. Maybe an accountant would know that or should know that. |
It seems some of that stuff is a little strange. For example, the car service. If I worked for a company that let me use a car service I would never think to pay taxes on that. In fact, I don't even think that makes sense.
But most businesses or people making over a certain amount have some unresolved tax issues. I'm not saying these people don't sometime turn a blind eye either when it saves them a ton of cash, but I see how it can be difficult to be perfect. |
Everyone knows that these limousine liberals love to raise taxes for the rest of us but feel no obligation to pay taxes themselves. Just standard leftist hypocrisy.

I thought we were gonna get change... WHERE is the change? All I see is the same political elite that have been fleecing this country for decades. |

You're totally right. This whole thing is bizarre! Daschle has to drop out because of this, but Geithner gets a pass on delibereatly not paying taxes he had to know he owed? This entire process looks like a joke now. |
Fuck Taxes. All I have to say

If your neighbor drives you somewhere for free, is that considered income? Obviously it is income when you are a Democrat and the Republicans want to undermine the Obama presidency from the start. |

LOL - so far, he hasn't needed the Republicans help. It's like a circus! :1orglaugh |

Personally - I think that if the tax code is too complicated for Dashel and Geithner to follow (and Geithner is now the treasury head?) then its definately too complicated for the rest of us. It's time for a FLAT TAX! If anyone had a brain, they would use this as the perfect example as a reason that justifies throwing out the tax codes to replace them with a FLAT TAX RATE! |

They should get rid of the fuckin tax code so that not everyone and their mother has tax issues. But boohoo, how many IRS and accountant jobs would that kill?

One lot of corrupt crooks out, now its time for the other team of corrupt crooks to ride the gravy train for a few years :)
