So I am a female graphic designer and have just joined this site. I am also fairly new to the graphic designing in adult websites. Looking for some tips of the trade and that sort of thing from anyone willing. I have a website with my portfolio up (see siggy) but haven't really done much work for adult website's yet. Hoping to change that soon!

Any advice for this new female graphic designer attempting to make a place in adult website designs?

Ha any types of tips work well. I didn't mean to imply that I only wanted to hear from other females. :]

I am not a designer, but here is a tip. When making adult banners make sure the client has the rights to use the chick's image.

I asked Zuzana about that in her thread as I made the presumption that she was a top banner advertiser on GFY now since she was running such a contest. Of course she answered about every other trivial question and replied to almost every persons bump - she skipped right over me. I then got curious and ran through the banner ads on GFY and well nope, she was not one (prolly why no answer).

Anyways, the original poster should not try such a stunt on GFY as it would be against the rules unless she too wants to become a top banner advertisers and then well contact eric @adult.com

I personally think she should show off her portfolio some. Perhaps design a few wordpress or other blog style templates and sell them either semi or fully exclusive yet pre done with just some minor alterations allowed.
Contact a few site owners to get permission, and then toss together some creatives for them that she can post and their affiliates can use.
Then whatever she does, make damn sure she does not play the nickle and dime game and assume everything must be done for pennies on the dollar.

Welcome and good luck. My advice is look at alot of other sites and be aware of the trends in design people are using for adult. See what sites look best and what sites fail and use that as a measuring stick for your work.
