free healthcare, free uniforms, housing covered, meals covered, free education. Even if you are older than traditional age if you have some skills like programming, language, medical etc they will take you in, if you have a degree maybe even as a 2nd LT.

I'd say, by July, about half the sponsor reps in the industry.

Another option is going back to school on grants/scholarships/low cost-subsidized loans. You reinvest in yourself and ride out the tough times. I doubt the current economic slowdown will last only 3 to 5 years. I have a feeling the impact of this slowdown will be felt for over a decade. Don't believe me? Just look at Japan in the 90s and now... :(

Thats's a backup plan.

If things get bad enough or I get real sick, i'll figure out what crime will land me in a Club Fed where I can come out a few years later all tanned and fit.
