I lost my job today!
 

I worked as a programmer for ICS/Playboy for 6 years. They eliminated my position today.
There are no hard feelings. And I enjoyed my time there.

Did you work in Chicago , just trying to see if we have met.

That sux you lost your job. With Playboy on your resume I think you'll be fine :)

6 years?! Wow. That sucks! the job market is weak. I bet you could find enough work on the forums tho. Everyone always needs programming done.

I can see no hate for the company or whatever but how can someone have no hard feelings for being fired/laid off (whatever). Did you at least get some notice?

I worked out of the Sacramento / Rocklin office. I'm putting together a resume and portfolio. But not bullshit times are hard... negitive 20k Jobs per day

This morning I was an Admin ... but my post count is artificially 10,000 higher than it should be. Prolly why the color is off my "registered user" title.

For the past six years mostly PHP, Perl, mySQL, Flash 9, Action Script 3, Java Script. Before that C++ and Java and Web related Java products (Tomcat, beans, servlet) ...even Vinette and TCL-TK

Because maybe he was there because it was comfortable. Now he has the incentive to do even better. I know when I left the security of my last job it was the best thing I ever did. And it wasn't something I planned out. So no different than getting laid off.

So when the white lady told me to not look at porn at my next job, I told that bitch that I was going to get paid for what she just fired me for.....I had already bought my domain name and had a popular yahoo club at the time so I went home, built the site, put up ccbill, and sent an email to my yahoo club....Within an HOUR, I had my first sale and I've been doing this ever since.......A year later, I sent an email to the boss and the couple of snitches with me in the DR with two bitches and told them that I'm making more than my boss....
