grumpy 02-09-2009 09:35 AM

who cares

Ross 02-09-2009 09:36 AM

Says a lot for Arsenals ambition doesn't it? Arsene Wenger hasn't won a trophy for 4 years and he keeps his job. Arsenal are such a team of underachievers. Chelsea should never have got rid of Mourinho. He's currently with Inter Milan and within touching distance of winning Seria A in his first season.

No comparison.

The reason you even think Arsenal should always be challenging is thanks to Wenger. With their cramped stadium and smallish fanbase, they could easily have been today where Newcastle or Tottenham are.

BTW I like Mourinho too, but being close to winning the title in his first season isn't such a great feat when Inter ran away with the title for the past two seasons.

Bring back Jose!!!

You do know Arsenal have been playing in a brand new state of the art 60,000 seater Stadium for almost 3 years now right? And small fan base you talk of consists of 50,000 season ticket holders. Full stadiums for every game and most away ticket allocations sold.

I would by no means consider Arsenal a small team. Arsenal have International Class players and should be streets ahead of the likes of Aston Villa and Everton. Right now they are struggling to keep pace with them.

Chelsea are fucking shit anyway!

Man United are going to win again this year! League, Both cups and the Champions League!

Come on UNITED!

PornoStar69 02-09-2009 12:51 PM

Fuck Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool - Manchester United FUCKING RULE - and you know that MAN :)

Twistys Tim 02-09-2009 12:52 PM

Chelsea are a ship without a rudder. Raneri, Jose, Grant, and Scolari all fired since 2003.

Who next for the Bridge...? Sven LOL

voa 02-09-2009 12:52 PM

They play so bad, its time for some changes

The Chelsea fans (most of them anyway) want Zola. Should be interesting to see what happens...

That is my whole point. Who brought those International Class Players? who kept Arsenal profitable enough to build that big stadium? Wenger.

If Wenger had gone to Tottenham instead of Arsenal all those years back, maybe they would be the ones with the shinny new stadium and expanding fan base. To compare him with Scolari and only look at his recent record is ridiculous.

In 2006 Ferguson had not won the title for three years, fans were saying he should have retired and wanted the Bayern Munich coach to take over, should they have sacked him then?

They do not want Zola, they want Clarke. Clarke leaving was the beginning of the end for Chelsea. Chelsea were doing very well under Raneri, Jose, Grant, and Scolari until Clarke left in September 2008 -- it was after Clarke's departure that things started going down the shitter for Chelsea. In many ways, all of the managers from 2003 to present day were the public front for the club -- with Clarke the man behind the scenes making it actually happen.

The acrimonious circumstances of Clarke leaving Chelsea will prevent him from leaving West ham to rejoin Chelsea, and I do not think Zola is in any mood to get fired by RA.

Zola knew that if he was going to build a winning team at West Ham he HAD to have Clarke with him, as Zola knew that Clarke was the reason - mainly - for Chelsea's successes.
