Within 2 weeks im now playing soccer twice a week and squash 3 times.

Been smoking since i was 13, honestly i knew smoking is horrid, bad for you, and all that junk, but fuck me its soooo much worse then i thought!!!
I'm alive again and that's only after 2 weeks, god damn!! lol

According to the American Cancer Society
these are the changes that take place in your body once you stop smoking.

Within 20 minutes:

- Blood pressure drops to normal

After 12 hours:
- Pulse rate will slow and skin temperature increases
- Oxygen level in blood increases to normal
- Carbon monoxide level in blood drops to normal

After 24 hours:
- Chance of heart attack decreases due to improved cardiac function
- Fine motor coordination will improve

After 48 hours:
- Nerve endings start re growing
- Ability to taste and smell is enhanced

After 72 hours:
- Bronchial tubes relax, making breathing easier
- Lung capacity increases
- Circulation improves, walking becomes easier, stamina and vigor increase

Within 2 weeks to 3 months
- Circulation, stamina and walking improve
- Lung function increases up to 30%

1 to 9 months:
- Coughing, sinus congestion, fatigue and shortness of breath decrease.
- Cillia re grow in the lungs increasing ability to handle mucus and infections
- Body's overall energy increases

1 year
- Risk of heart disease decreases 90%
- Heart will have returned to nearly normal condition

10-15 years
- Risk of lung, tongue and throat cancer will be roughly the same as if you had never smoked.

2 weeks it's a good start, but you can only say that you quit smoking 2 or 3 years from now.

Loch 02-14-2009 03:30 PM

I think I have tried just about every gimmick/solution out there.

So, I was walking thought the mall and they where selling these...

http://www.smoke51.com/

I'm a light smoker, about 1/2 pack a day, but I have never been able to actually quit this stupid habit. So I went over and tried the test model they had there... The damn thing is just like smoking, without the nasty smells etc.

So I bought a starter set and have been puffing away on it the last couple days. I could seriously see ditching regular cigs.

You still get you Nicotine fix, but without the other crap. Seriously cool.

PLUS you can "smoke" it anywhere. It's quite funny to be puffing away at a starbucks or in a mall and see the looks you get using it. LOL. It's not tobacco, produces no second hand smoke, is not subject to federal or state non smoking laws etc. They even give you an information card with a toll free number and information about it to give to questioning people managers who may question you about it.

USB powered smokes... what's the world coming too..

Works like a damn charm.... http://www.nicorette.ca/en/default.asp "the inhaler"

For my level of smoking i should be going thru 10 caps a day, but only using one.

bobby666 02-14-2009 06:44 PM

papill0n 02-14-2009 06:48 PM
