can your editing machine top

dual quad core 3.2

12MB of L2 cache per processor (each pair of cores shares 6MB)
128-bit SSE4 SIMD engine
64-bit data paths and registers
Energy efficiency optimization
1600MHz, 64-bit dual independent frontside buses

32 gigs of 800MHz DDR2 ECC fully buffered DIMM (FB-DIMM) memory

2 video cards NVIDIA Quadro FX 5600 with 1.5GB of GDDR3 memory, two dual-link DVI ports, and one stereo 3D port

4 terabytes internal storage and 6 terabytes external storage

im sure im missing something but it sure as hell was costly

oh on the stopping by ... id love to soon as I get over this fucking cold hahah... we need to hang out more

As always, Adult Encoders can help you out, we handle huge clients. Not in Vegas, but 4 hours away, so close enough. ;-) I'll give you a buzz.

Since we're talkin about processor cores, how about like 70 cores, and like 40 Terabytes? :-)

Loch 02-18-2009 06:38 PM

ohh kids kids "my machine" lol

We use encoding.com , a fully automated GRID based system. Converted around 400 movies to H264 in less then a day.
