Thinking about buying RV for the summer. Should I or not ?

Looks kinda fun to travel and just park . What do you think? Is it worth it?

I love my RV

I'm sure you could get a good deal right now. If that is something you are into, why not? Some people love traveling the country by road.

With all the people losing their shirts this is the perfect time for you to get a good deal.

I never gave this any thought until now. I would LOVE TO DO THAT!!! In fact, I'm going to check out pricing to rent one right now! That would be the shit!! And I sooooo need to have a vacation of some sort. I could LIVE one.

Oh man, thank you for this thread. What a fabulous idea.

My HOA won't let me have a boat or RV a my house but I just signed lease for new office and it has parking space for comercial vehicles, so I can park it there. I'm looking at 20 to 28 ft RV on craigslist right now ;)

RRRED 02-20-2009 11:09 PM

Holy shit! nevermind!!! Good lord, renting is not affordable for me. Jeezus

I bought my parents a 38foot Bluebird Motor Coach a few years ago. They are retired and take two major trips each year and several short trips in between.

I've used the bus a few times just along the Washington/Oregon coast.

It's definitely not for everyone. Depending on what you get, fuel can be a killer. Can even end up costing more than driving a car and staying in motels and eating out while traveling. Overall they love it though.

My brother and his wife have been RV'ing in their A class across the southern states and Mexico since last September, and judging by the emails and pics they've been sending they are absolutely loving the lifestyle.

One day I may have to sell out and go that route.
