The best way to add search function on large website

Lets say i have an +100000 pages site. I want to add an 'g00gle style' search function. I wanted to use the g00gle API, but i see there are some restrictions. There are any other alternatives?

you need some tool to cache all pages in db, then you can read wanted keywords from there.
