Price of beer in Canada is biggest crock of shit ever.

Like the companies would actually make less if the price was lower.
People would just drink more if it's cheaper. :1orglaugh

Realy though, the price of beer is double that of most of the USA.

The bar price is not strange but buying from the store is a shock.

Plus they have no Ketchup.

:1orglaugh

Sorry, I was bored.

Doctor Dre 03-18-2009 04:53 PM

That beer would cost $7.00 a six pack in USA.

Our beer may be expensive but we have metric TONNES of ketchup.

Well then why did they give me gravy with my french fries and the girls with
me acted like I was crazy for thinking I can get some ketchup?

This was in Calgary.

Far-L 03-18-2009 05:00 PM

Because your version of the same beer has nearly twice the alchohol content. Check out a Molson from Canada vs. a U.S sold version of the exact same beer and you will see what I am talking about.

I've never heard of such thing... maybe in Montreal, because who knows what the french do, but I'm pretty sure Ketchup on fries is Canadian standard. Hell, we even have Ketchup flavored potato chips.

collegeboobies 03-18-2009 05:12 PM

beer in canada is generally stronger no? (alcohol content)
I'm not really a drinker, but I think in the states its so cheap because its beer flavored water

jmcb420 03-18-2009 05:45 PM

Note to self: There is more then one reason to avoid Canada.

BlackCrayon 03-18-2009 05:45 PM

I get a 24 of coors for 25 bucks canadian. Also in quebec...other provinces get fucked.

donkevlar 03-18-2009 05:46 PM

The alcohol content is lower if you drink SHIT beers like bud and coors.

The prices are higher because of taxes.

i drink tecate and modello out of mexico cost $24 for a 30 pack

magicmike 03-18-2009 05:56 PM

All taxes, the gov't in Ontario just raised the low price you can charge for a case of beer.

Our beer isn't any stronger, they just used to measure the alcohol differently in the states. Ours is alcohol by volume ABV, compared to some states that use(d) alcohol by weight. ABW.

Slightly higher on standard beer, higher alcohol content usually must be labled
as "Malt Liquor".

Malt liquor with the higher content is the cheapest of all! Dirt cheap!

So cheap that most people will not drink it because they don't want to look cheap.
(or get that drunk)

Price of a 24 or coors in ontario is 35-37 bucks. Alcoholic content is pretty much the same regardless of they are "shit" beers or not. Most beer in the states is 3.5-7. Even coors light is 4.5.

There is no useful new information in this thread as everyone already knows that Canada sucks in every possible way.
