Final Episodes of Battlestar Galactica - tonight

Today is a very very sad day for me. My favorite TV series of all time comes to an end... and the dying leader will lead the human race to their salvation.

Goodbye Galactica. Goodbye Adama. :Oh crap

WarChild 03-20-2009 08:53 AM

It's time. The Galactica is done, the old man is tired, it's time.

UFGators2007 03-20-2009 08:58 AM

So say we all! So say we all!! So say we all!!!

Paul&John 03-20-2009 09:00 AM

It will rock for sure!

BradM 03-20-2009 09:01 AM

omggggggg I want to jerk off and cry at the same time :[

uno 03-20-2009 09:15 AM

I didn't care. It was a tired story line and completely anti climactic. I also don't give a shit what the opera house is about. What I care about is why this all happened (what the story is about old cylons they found on earth etc) and how they will survive and repopulate. That's really all I care about.

I still don't get how they're going to wrap this all up and explain everything in two hours.

Marcus Aurelius 03-20-2009 09:31 AM

It is a must watch tonight for sure. gonna be hard to wrap it up in a 2 hour finale. I heard there are talks of a movie after the series ends but I guess only time will tell.

BradM 03-20-2009 09:36 AM

I don't think they CAN wrap it all in 2 hours. They left very single "answer" to tonight. The last 3 episodes have been a wash with no final answers. Very annoying.

there's been a lot of dickin around in the last few episodes. It feels like theres too much to cover in 2 hours.

collegeboobies 03-20-2009 10:14 AM

aww how sad

Zorgman 03-20-2009 10:17 AM

They might leave some things open for "movies" etc to come. They always do shit like that. Like in Deep Blue, they said right at the end " there was only 3 sharks right?" and no one knew because they were all dead.

bobby666 03-20-2009 11:02 AM

never seen a scene

James124 03-20-2009 11:16 AM

great show. How about that new Caprica show they have planned? It will be in the same universe etc etc...

It will suck fucking shit. I have no plans to watch it. I give it a single season.

Brujah 03-20-2009 11:17 AM

What's left to answer?

Reak AGV 03-20-2009 12:48 PM

Deesnuts 03-20-2009 12:51 PM

pornguy 03-20-2009 01:10 PM

I have caught a total of about 15 min of that show. and it seems that all 15 min was just people in closeup talking.. Did they ever show the ships and have space fights and stuff?

Sigh. Yes.

Go rent the mini series it's the best thing in history.

I must have been blind. I didn't see your thread before making mine.

I don't think they are going to answer all the questions, and that is fine as long as they come to some kind of satisfactory ending. There are some big questions that need to be answered and I think not answering them will do the show a disservice, but some of the little ones can be left undone as long as they don't end it poorly.

For me bad endings would be:
1. After the final confrontation with the cylons the Galactica is destroyed and the humans are left with little idea where earth or a suitable planet live on is so it ends with them still floating around space looking for a home.

or

2. They find earth and find out that the are all actually cylons.

If it is one of those two I'm not going to be too happy.

I think most of the main cast dies, and they res somewhere and the show will end with them waking in goup... realizing they are all cylons.

I would not have a problem with that ending and I have been predicting this since S4 began

Brujah 03-20-2009 01:39 PM

All Along the Watchtower is where the writing stopped being interesting. BSG jumped the shark.

My buddy and I were talking about something similar happening. Several main characters die then the res somewhere and end up looking at each other like WTF.

Well, I won't give anything away for those that haven't yet seen it, but I was very happy with the ending.

uno 03-21-2009 12:22 AM

Did they answer anything? Nothing has really caught my attention over the past 1.5 hours.

Most of the big questions get answered, but there are some things left unanswered.

GetSCORECash 03-21-2009 04:24 AM

I'm going to have to wait till it goes on DVD

John-ACWM 03-21-2009 08:28 AM

I just hope there will be other great shows

number 2 would have been better that the piece of crap ending they gave us

watching the finale was like getting a blowjob where the girl bites down at the end
no matter how good it was up until that point ....

boneprone 03-24-2009 12:59 PM

I thought it was a good ending to a great show. Grew up with the show.
We all knew they made it to earth. If you followed the old shows they did a spin off of the original battle star show with battlestar 1980. That show was about them when they found earth. It was pretty bad..

This ending to this new era of show was much better. It doesnt show how they adapted to earth, it just shows they made it. And even 150,000 years later they were people among us.

Not bad really.
Good storyline. Good way to end the series.

Now onto this new show/spinoff. The Silon Show.
As a kid I always liked the silons more. I was always upset with the shows that didnt have any silons in em.
Now 30 years later they are going to have a show just about the Silons.

Again not bad.
