One more time: Good host/Bad Host and why?

I have seen some threads about hosting on gfy, but usually when i go to investigate the threads are gone and i cant find them. So please spam your good host and if you have a bad experience please tell what happened. Usually people will say such and such sucks but never elaborate. Please do. Im using this thread to help in my search for quality adult hosting, affordable price, and solid service. I have 15 domains i want get hosted eventually. Thanks.

Tonyparra sucks because he asks business questions.

Templar 03-22-2009 07:02 PM

I highly recommend cybercellcorp(dot)com 24/7 support, great interface, great prices, quick actions!

I WAS set up with a HORRIBLE webhost before them, a cheap, unlimited bandwidth host. It took them a WEEK to set me up (while my site was down!) - and then weeks afterwards until all my sites were up, tech was not there on weekends or after 6 PM, NEVER answered emails, the sites were ALWAYS having problems, I had a forum and two top 100s that were always crashing and needed me to reload them. They promised that they'd move me to a stable server every day for weeks. ABSOLUTELY THE WORST! Of course, even though I had cancelled with them, they charged my credit card 2 months after I left. Beware unlimited disk space website hosting!

Good luck!

Unlimited space is always appealing but ill heed your warning

http://www.pacificrack.com/ - had some hurdles with a hardware and/or software glitch which caused my server to hard lock frequently, also had some other minor probs. They compensated me for it with an upgraded server, and it's been smooth sailing since.

http://www.caro.net/ - also had some minor teething problems, but it's been solid ever since.

You didn't say whether you were after virtual or dedicated. I'm not sure whether the above two do virtual. (Never checked, don't really care :) )

tonyparra 03-23-2009 04:57 AM

Ill probably be starting with a virtual plan these are all domains that have just been collecting dust and i dont have much traffic yet

tonyparra 03-23-2009 04:58 AM

*bump* for more responses and more ideas!

WebairChris 03-23-2009 07:27 AM

Hey Tonyparra I can definitely get you set up with a quality hosting plan that will best suit your needs. Either ICQ or email me to discuss your minimum hosting requirements.

PantieZ 03-23-2009 08:52 AM

MojoHost, because they know what they are doing +
they really do care about their customers :thumbsup

SpeakEasy 03-23-2009 09:25 AM

Since you are looking for small virtual account, I would suggest talking to both webair and phatservers. webair has a decent control panel.:2 cents::2 cents:

Ron2k1 03-23-2009 09:31 AM

I recommend Phat Servers EXCELLENT support VERY fast

Cyber Fucker 03-23-2009 09:53 AM

Good - Webair - Why? - I am with them about 3 years now and I had no problems, excellent uptime, reliable support always there to help and their chief is a rocking guy. This is the company I can with clear conscience recommend to everyone.

Bad - OrangeFiber - Why? My friend and I were hosting with them and we had some serious problems.

aniloscash 03-23-2009 10:38 AM

the top 3 in my opinion xxxhostit, hosthead, and phatserver

aniloscash 03-23-2009 10:38 AM

candyflip 03-23-2009 10:40 AM

I use PacificRack and won't be looking back.

MrDeiz 03-23-2009 10:41 AM

caro.net is a good one. we are with them and server works good

Calico Jack 03-23-2009 12:51 PM

For Virtual accounts you can't go past Naked Hosting (see sig).
Never had any big problems and any and all questions I've ever asked have been aswered in a timely fashion. Service & prices are both great.

For quality of service and attention to detail with customer support, we should be on the list to evaluate.

Cheers,

I <3 Phatservers.
They answer dumb questions within like 5 mins.. without making you feel dumb.
They help with basic open source programs... if something messes up and you're nice.. they'll google and help you in the right direction with site errors and stuff..

I'm sure other places do it too.. but I just love Phatservers :) :) :)
Best business decision I've made in the last 2 years :)

Iron Fist 03-25-2009 10:25 PM

Yummy hosts.

Ycaza 03-25-2009 11:09 PM

if you seek innovation and something different, when others say no, we do Yes.

Rakie 03-25-2009 11:53 PM

All I know is lurking around here for about a month has showed me (Through threads and recommendation) that Host Gator and Webair are solid.

I'll be going with Host Gator, going to set some stuff up rather soon, we'll see how that goes :)
