Nubiles Tube Script Update Released
 

Nubiles is proud to announce the release of version 1.112408 of the Nubiles Tube Script, and the new Template Marketplace for designers.

New tube script features:

• XML export
  
• XML Import (both one time and for auto updating)
  
• Hotlink server option (serve spidered videos from seperate server)
  
• Stackable login/register links
  
• Sort tag cloud alpha or # of videos
  
• Tag cloud now only contains set number of tags in HTML, ajax in the rest. Keeps the HTML size down when there are 1000's of tags.
  
• added Anilos as a default sponsor.
  
• RSS feed per page, per channel, and per category
  
• you can now set the logo title and alt text
  
• channel name variable now available for header.php
  
• new CSS templates
  
• search is more accurate, returns all videos in a category if search term matches category, searches plural and non plural
  
• removed scriptaculous and prototype for faster initial loading times
  
• new home page display option, average clicks. (for hall of fame style rotation)

Couple features I'd like to highlight:

RSS Feeds allow you to power blogs utilizing any of the hundreds of rss feeds created by the tube script. The feed contains the thumb and description of the video, linked back to your tube site video page. The script geneates feeds for each page (home, most recent, top rated, most viewed) as well as per category (tags) and also per sponsor!

Template Marketplace

We now have a place where designers can post their templates for sale. We are accepting both non exclusive (limited to X number of downloads) and also exclusive templates. We do not take a commission, this is free of charge to designers, and you get 100% of the sale at a price you pick. Average Click Front Page View

This will be familiar to skim TGP owners as a 'hall of fame'. This allows the front page of the tube to show case the most clicked thumbs based on how long they have been on the site. Prod on www.youngertube.com went from 150% to 250% after switching to avg clicks on the front page.

Create your own XML feeds with the Nubiles Tube Script

Sponsors did you know that you could import a list of your hosted video galleries (non FLV vids) into the tube script, and have it generate FLV's and an auto updating XML feed... all for free? To do the update, Just upload the files, EXCEPT for the templates/CSS folders(I have custom stuff) as per the install manual. With the permissions and stuff?

generally yes you use a category for each paysite that way you can add your linking code to the sponsor easily

Yes, each pay site should have its own channel. You control 2257, video overlay and ads above and below the video with each "channel listing".

Is there modrewrite support for 'seo friendly' urls? This should be must have function.

no need to worry about hacks, all of the admin php that does all the database and file writing are protected by htaccess, and aren't accessible to the public.
