Rockefeller: Internet is ?Number One National Hazard?

Wow, just fucking WOW!!

Rockefeller: Internet is ?Number One National Hazard?

According to the great-grandson of John D. Rockefeller, nephew of banker David Rockefeller, and former Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Jay Rockefeller the internet represents a serious threat to national security. Rockefeller is not alone in this assessment. His belief that the internet is the ?number one national hazard? to national security is shared by the former Director of National Intelligence Mike McConnell and Obama?s current director Admiral Dennis C. Blair.

Senator Jay Rockefeller pontificates on the threat to national security posed by the internet.

?It really almost makes you ask the question would it have been better if we had never invented the internet,? Rockefeller mused during the confirmation hearing of Gary Locke (see video), Obama?s choice for Commerce Secretary. He then cites a dubious figure of three million cyber ?attacks? launched against the Department of Defense every day. ?Everybody is attacked, anybody can do it. People say, well it?s China and Russia, but there could be some kid in Latvia doing the same thing.?

Do these Globalists REALLY believe that we will swallow this bullshit?!?!

Imagine the uprising that would happen if they shut it off.

LiveDose 03-23-2009 11:12 PM

Exactly. All those power hungry slime balls in Washington hate the net. They are probably only able to get away with half of the theft, lies and other shady deals that they pulled off 20 years ago.

The interesting thing here is whether people will organize themselves to keep their internet, in the form it is now...

Although you can actually, it is just really messy and does not stay there very long.

notoldschool 03-24-2009 06:52 AM

Dont worry this is just him letting you know that in the very near future the internet will be gone as we know it. good times.

Barefootsies 03-24-2009 06:58 AM

Hmmmm....

What he means to say is the old blue bloods, and power mongers of the past see the internet as a way to subvert control of the masses.

it has nothing to do with Fear of the attacks against the Gubment.. It has to do with his fear of the new RICH people that it has created. His ELITE status is getting smaller every year.

I heard him talking about its threat by hackers attacking government installations as well as public, ie. electric grids, etc. Not sure how people comprehending what he said as "a fear of to much information reaching the masses." It is ridiculous.

And before you guys jump me, I do realize his statements could lead to a change in the way the internet runs. Only takes a few to ruin it for everyone else. Blame the hackers, not the government.

The internet is like the Government's Tube problem.

bronco67 03-24-2009 07:41 AM

The internet is the greatest invention, but he is right in a way.

Also, its created a generation of little social retards who would rather text and email than actually have face to face interactions with others. Let's not forget about the easy theft of other people's property. I'm sure if clothes and food was digital, people would steal it just as much as they do any movie or music.

pornguy 03-24-2009 08:00 AM

What are those computers that are being attacked doing connected to the net any way?

frankie_gunn 03-24-2009 08:16 AM

I think he's in the trap where he thinks it's possible to REMAIN 100% anonymous when it's simply not. Just using the TTL on packets and knowing where they've hopped from and to is just about all you need to locate any specific computer.
So he should relax now.

They aren't.

Gabriel Weimann, author of Terror on the Internet:

?Nuclear weapons and other sensitive military systems, as well as the computer systems of the CIA and FBI, are ?air-gapped,? making them inaccessible to outside hackers. Systems in the private sector tend to be less well protected, but they are far from defenseless, and nightmarish tales of their vulnerability tend to be largely apocryphal.?

onwebcam 03-24-2009 10:33 AM

They don't care about anonymity except for themselves. If it wasn't for the internet we wouldn't be re-writing history. The fairy tales that the likes of Rockefeller's family made up for the Serfs. Couple this with the great desire to have a small number of corporations controlling and profiting from and monitoring (censoring) the internet you can pretty much put all your money into IT security because that's how the next false flag event is going to happen. Then Jay here can say "I told you so" and the governments will have to step in and take away our internet freedoms for the good of the world.

Dcat 03-24-2009 12:34 PM

from the same article..

"Bell Canada and TELUS (formerly owned by Verizon) employees officially confirm that by 2012 ISP?s all over the globe will reduce Internet access to a TV-like subscription model, only offering access to a small standard amount of commercial sites and require extra fees for every other site you visit. These ?other? sites would then lose all their exposure and eventually shut down, resulting in what could be seen as the end of the Internet,"

Once this happens, we can all kiss our Internet businesses good-bye! :disgust
