Phoenix Forum Attendees Read This

Aggh! I should have posted this earlier.

It takes two years for most people to adjust to this climate and ya'll ain't gonna do it in 2 days.

Right now we have nice warm days but the desert temperature drops a LOT at night -- and that "dry heat" makes for a dry cold too so bring sweaters or a jacket. If you bring only shorts and T-shirts, you will be buying warm clothes while you are here.

Lip balm is your friend. You will not realize how dry the air is until your lips dry out ten minutes after you shower.

Cigarettes are a long walk from the hotel. Bring a good supply.

Drink plenty of water while you are here.

It is cooler and dryer than you expect. Take my advice and maximize the good times at the Forum!!

There is a convenience store right by the post office. That is right down the street from the hotel. Also our cold nights are much warmer then the cold days a lot of these people attending are used to. :winkwink:

It should probably be pointed out that these people think anything under 80 is chilly. :2 cents:

True, but it does dip down at night.

I've made the suggestion to a few sponsors to make some kind of promo item that people can use to keep warm. I've yet to see that happen though.

I cannot imagine being a cigarette smoker in that climate. Talk about drying your ass out. It's hard enough to breathe in that heat and dryness, much less add cigarette smoke to the
mix.

Ugh you fucker, Alex.

Deej 04-01-2009 10:26 PM

The dry air is already effecting my nasal system pretty bad...

Im going to try out something that Dwreck and VS_Jeff recomended to me once, fill up your bathtub with hot water and let it sit there all night, slowly releasing some moisture into the air...

I was raised on the oregon coast and the dry heat really messes with me... Though it does feel good to bask a little...

See you all tomorrow :thumbsup
