yeah, it can also display the alexa rank and has some other neat stuff

you can even put it next to the google toolbar, so it wont take more space from your browsers content area

Yeah SearchStatus rocks, It gives PageRank, Alexa, Compete, and MozRank. Right click the bar and get Whois info, Link report, Meta tags, Show in Archive.org, Robots.txt, sitemap.xml, Keyword density, etc..

Way better then Google Toolbar.

What is PR?

Sarah_Jayne 04-06-2009 10:25 AM

Yes..I hate the tiny itty bitty nature of it. Looks stumpy.

I downloaded a wp theme that was cookie stuffing about 200 affiliate sites through a video addon.

Very reputable source, I complained and it was taken down but I would imagine its being used on hundreds of sites unknowingly.

Well no fucking shit, how else do you expect it to know what site's rankings it needs to get? Think it just randomly guesses and hopes it is right?

Use your head.

They're going to keep making it smaller until it's gone entirely... :)

"home" as in software writer's website, as opposed to just the google, yahoo, alexa, etc directly...

Edit the xpi file to remove that, problem solved.

Or if by home you mean it hits the software developers site first, which in return grabs the data using an API key or something, then passes it back to the extension, it's a small price to pay.

If you're so worried about a 3rd party knowing what sites you visit, either A, stop visiting sites that would be questionable, or B, write it yourself. :2 cents:
