I followed the Jays since their inception. Naturally it peaked with the two world series wins. I would have kept watching but the strike in '94 killed the sport for me. Coincidentally, the Jays haven't won shit since then so I haven't missed watching it in the least. They won't win this year either. 8 games do not a season make. What you're seeing is an illusion. The Jays will end up no better than 3rd...probably 4th.
The one thing I'll agree with is that Cito is a hell of a manager.
P.S. If and when the Leafs start out next season at 6-2, hold out on the Stanley Cup victory parade plans. The Leafs MAY make the playoffs next year, but even that'll be a stretch.
The Raptors will win a title before the Leafs or the Blue Jays.
