Store cookies server-side? How to get a server to login to a site?

Searched and searched Google.. no luck.

I'm trying to figure out how to get a server to login to a site, so that when a script wants to access a page on the site they don't get the "you must be logged in to do this" message.

Anyone know how to do this or what search term I could use to find out?

You can also use sockets. Cookies are sent with headers.
