Payment processing for European market...

Anyone here have any suggestions on a payment processor for the European market.

I have a client that is under the belief that CCBill and Epoch are good for the US market, but he is losing sales in Europe and he needs a payment processor to handle different payment options overseas.

Thanks in advance....

Hey Pornlaw :-)

Bear in mind that many Europeans have debit, not credit cards nowadays so think and outside the "VISA/MC" box - www.localbilling.com are strong on cards.

Phone billing is also popular in Europe since it's a convienient, anonymous "buy now, pay later" form of chargeback-free payment which is our speciality :pimp

debit works the same as credit cards in many ways and can be used the same way, just without credit. It's still visa, mastercard etc.

It might be possible that they are just not utilizing all of the options that we do offer. I would be happy to discuss, if you want to send your client my way or pass along their contact info.

CCBill Paul -- Can you describe what other CCBill options are available ?

TisMe 04-29-2009 11:58 AM

I've done well with Zombaio.com

Michael,

There are a lot of variables involved with international transactions. Proper language presentment, correct currency, regional pricing, and payment types just to name the major points. Optimizing your traffic from all the regions of the world by streamlining the payment process is key. And at the end of the day, it's really about how much money you make and how much you keep.

Feel free to hit me up if I can answer any questions for you.

Hi, we can help you with EU processing.

JenniDahling 04-29-2009 12:06 PM

Hi Michael, one of the most used forms of payment is SMS and Phone Billing. Global Acces offers the most coverage and countries and weekly payments with no holds or chargebacks.

I’d be happy to give my advice, feel free to hit me up anytime.

Sure thing. Besides the normal Visa, Mastercard, Discover, JCB, and most of the more popular Eurpean Debit Cards we offer:

-Direct Pay EU (available in 32 EU countries) which is just like a wire transfer from the customers bank account.
-EU Debit which allows customers in Germany, Austria, and The Netherlands to pay via their bank account similar to an ACH transaction.
-Regional Pricing as well of course.

right on, i have regional pricing enabled but what about the Direct Pay and EU Debit? is that something we need to have activated or what? we use NATS with you as primary, so how does that work? anything i need to do on my end to grab those euro debit transactions?

was looking into webbilling but it sounds like i may already have what they are offering and not even know it LOL

Something like Segpay.com comes to mind.
No offense, but CCBill is blocking ALOT of credit cards in EU. Everytime I try to buy something with my card I get a decline. A friend of mine started a paysite awhile ago, and it was not converting. Like 7 billings out of 9 were declined by CCBill.

I'll shoot you some instructions, all you need to do is accept it via the webmaster admin, setup a price and go from there.

I have never heard of something like 7 out of 9, that seems a bit crazy. I am wondering however what the reason for your decline was, if you have a moment drop me a line and I can look it up.

what is actually true, paul, is that a lot of valid credit cards from countries like Czech Republic are generally blocked. even though this isn't third world anymore. it may be time to update the country database, it's now 20 years that the eastern block does not exist anymore ;)

edit: at least let the website owner decide what to accept. with the billing company for my shop i can decide on my own from which countries i accept cards and if i want ip/country to match or not

Manowar 04-29-2009 04:09 PM

ccbill do a great job :)

pornlaw 04-29-2009 09:53 PM

Great advice and thanks for all the feedback. Since my client has CCBill already and is in the process with Epoch I think we will start there.

And then move on to webbilling and segpay if the first two do not work out...

One last question... this is for a cam site and its per minute charges, will it make a difference ?

Thanks in advance...

Hey there, will be very happy to give you some information on various processors - I don't rep one in particular but I am familiar with many. Feel free to email or icq me.
