I used to use it pretty heavy, can't say anything bad at all about it. Only reason I stopped developing with it is WP and Dolphin were more of what I eventually got in to, but if I ever had a need for Joomla again, I wouldn't hesitate to use it.

Depends on what you want it for.. Its a great system and can take a lot. Is it for PORN?? If so, go with elevatedX,

Joomla is sweet, I use it alot... I got a new site coming out with it in a couple weeks. If you know php then its a pretty sweet cms

Drupal is a better choice in my opinion. You can find a lot of sites comparing it to joomla.

Drupal is good, sits between Joomla and Wordpress in terms of functionalities.
