Deadliest Warrior Show
 

Definitely one of my new favorite shows and the simulations at the end of the show are siiiiiiick. Anyone else watch it?

If you don't, they basically match up two classes of warriors that could never meet and they go over their weapons, strategies etc etc and test everything in a computer 1000 times and say who will win.

I like the show too, high tech and geek meets mindless violence.

GSP vs Ninja ?

I like it but I think at least one of the matchups is a victim of how they do the simulations. Ninjas by their nature sneak up on people, so having a "gladiator" type match is taking away their element of surprise, which is their best weapon, so yea naturally they got their ass kicked. I don't even remember what they were against but I thought a ninja would win easily against most. Given that, these last 2 shows have been IMO better.

Also, even though in some cases it will of course be near impossible to tell how the training vs. training aspect of it should be, I think in some cases it seems like they completely ignore that. I mean a gladiator's EVERY fight is for their own survival...it seemed to me that they should have beaten the Apache no contest, but I dunno...I guess they're the "experts".

I think Ninja was against Spartan. I still don't understand how Spartan can win? Like you said, ninjas are all about detection. One strike and you're gone. Its like having a sniper fighting marine. let me quess who's going to win that one.

Don't be all hung up on Ninjas being super fighters. You're confused from movies. Samurai were always the elite fighting force. Ninjas were assassins, a corwardly caste. In a heads up fight, no match. Anyone who tells you they've studied "Ninjitsu" is just a straight up joke.

The show seamed to be serious until the Mafia vs Yakuza episode...which was very funny. I was waiting for the guy to take the connolis and leave the gun.

I highly recommend this since I used to take classes, stopped because I did not want to get hurt...if I get hurt I can't play handball. :)

watching it now .. lol decent show ..

I wasn't surpised when the Spartan beat the ninja. Easy call in my opinion.

I was however surprised when the Apache beat the gladiator. Very interesting result there.

Overall... good show. High testosterone levels all around.

thats my point. they are not comparing apples and oranges, but apples and radiators.
I can see specnaz and green dudes but other stuff is stupid.

It was entertaining none the less. :)

The next episode............robin hood and his band of merry men vs. william wallace and his fellow scotts.

I also enjoy watching Fight Quest and Human Weapon.

Awesome show. I watched Pirate vs knight.

I do agree with CAMOKAT - the show itself ignores the fact that weapons have nothing to do with the actual battlefield tactics that make a typical confrontation between fighting forces successful.

I want to see something like "South Central LA crackhead" VS "Drunk Russian Cab Driver"

I don't agree with the Pirate beating a Knight. I don't think the pirate would've stood a chance, especially since they never mentioned anything about the knight using their shield for defense.

think about it that way, if pirate was to throw knight in the water would he be able to swin? Haven't you watch Pirates of Caribbean?Do you think knght can run on top of huge wheel as well? How about drink all that rum and then fight?

Yea, I thought the exact same thing - they mentioned the shield a few times then seemed to completely ignore it for defense. You figure more often than not, the blunderbuss would have to get through both shield and armor and they didn't even seem to test that.
