Rumours circulating that Paul Markham was actually the first to photograph this creature, when it was still alive, are completely unfounded...

AlphaSky 05-20-2009 04:31 AM

47 million years ago, the girl monkeys were showing the male monkeys their genitals for a few pieces of fruit.

The birth of porn.

I'm always curious how they can act so sure about things like that.

"ah yes, this one is 47million years old, i can tell just by looking at it"

jesus... i thought US schools sucked.

you have heard of a thing called chemistry right? carbon dating? 1/2 life of elements? no? yes? ring any bells? did you really think that science is dating objects by calling the psychic hotline?

pornguy 05-20-2009 08:19 AM

Carbon dating is not quite as accurate as they first thought. But they have new ways. they just ask the POPE, as he is a direct descendant of Jesus.

well... lets assume its "not that accurate" - that means in this example, thousands of years... so, exact accuracy on this time scale is quite irrelevant.

please feel free to bust out some physics to impress us all with what is essentially a religious argument vs mathematics.

Because they have an education, brains and the right tools... maybe? Just because you don't understand it doesn't mean it can't be true. I don't know how the collapse of the wave function occurs during observation of quantum events but it still happens.

I think carbon dating is only good for so many years, 40 or 50,000 years. But there are most definitely ways to get the answers they need, quite easily by the surrounding soil deposits, etc. Just like the rings in a tree that tell you how old it is.

This thread makes my tail itch...

OMG, lookie! It was fossilised with it's cell phone!!!

Now if we can just check it's text messages we may unearth many keys to understanding evolution...

The earth is only 4000 years old or something. Learn your facts, as taught by an invisible old man in the sky (as depicted on paintings by people who really knew their shit in the 1500s)

UFGators2007 05-20-2009 10:04 AM

Now the circle is complete.

Vicious_B 05-20-2009 10:22 AM

Makes me wonder what else is there to be discovered.

Everything. Humanity knows nothing.

JP-pornshooter 05-20-2009 10:46 AM

my theory is that the earth was then inhabitated by dinos..
then came a space ship of some sort with these ratty looking creatures who were perhaps booted of another planet somewhere..
the spaceship people whacked the dinos as they could see that their pet rat creatures would not stand a chance against the meat eating dinos..
over the years the pet rat creatures lost their tall and started walking upright, the rat creature was surviving and taking over the planet, the experiment was successful...
