cool, when there will be also Trillian and Outlook for Mac i will think again about switching. until then my Macbook Pro makes a good Windows machine

Switching from Trillian to Adium did not bother me however the switch from Outlook Express to mac mail was a huge pain in the ass.

i have like 600+ contacts in Trillian with logfiles from the last 6 years - i want to keep that. And my Outlook is also full with email history, lots of folders, tasks, notes etc.
i tried to export everything - and make that also synchronisable with my cellphone - no chance. i wasted a full weekend and $200 on tools. then i said fuck it, made Windows my primary system and since that day i can finally work without thinking about my computer again.

I feel your pain. I spent a whole saturday morning using a export tool to convert the outlook files to work with mac mail and still and to do some editing of files by hand... I only moved about 5% of my emails and have had to fire up the old pc a couple of times to go through email history in outlook to find an old email...

Apple really needs to supply a tool for these problems if they are serious about converting pc users over to mac. Maybe use some of that advertising budget....:)

JAlbum is simular to arles and it works on the mac to my knowledge

I downloaded the ACDSEE Mac Beta and its really got a ways to go to be even comparable to the PC version. I didn't like that you had to switch to a different "mode" to view a single photo. I sure hope they add a preview pane.
