They seem about the same so far.

I run Vista 64 bit for my main Core i7 editing pc now and it has had some stability issues, blue screening every so often. Then we pulled one of the three 2Gb RAM sticks out and it seems to be better now. Could be a issue with that RAM stick. All my other pcs are 32 bit Win XP and all run pretty smooth.

XP and Vista have been pretty damn stable for a long time now 32 or 64bit . I can't remember the last time I saw a blue-screen. Now when you add all the crappy hardware, software, and drivers out there you can easily have problems. Most the time when XP or Vista crashes people blame MS. When 99.9% of the time it's crappy drivers, hardware etc.

Lots of hardware and software companies are not making 64 bit drivers, and if they do its usual some 3rd world outsource sweatshop which doesn´t know shit from programming - fucking pathetic :disgust

You could try running memtest, MS also has a tool to check for faulty ram built into windows.
