Twitter cracks down on certain publishers
Source:
Twitter is raising some hackles for shutting down accounts for no good reason. In this case, the accounts belong to StatTweets, which was created by Robbie Allen, the developer behind sports stat site StatSheet. StatTweets was a way to get sports scores and updates about your favorite NBA, NFL, and college teams. Is this a sign of things to come? There's tons of helpful API-driven tweet accounts on twitter, hopefully this doesn't have a chilling effect on the diverse and creative mix of twitter-based services out there. |
What will happen is copycats of twitter.

More info on twitter :) http://www.highrevenue.com/tag/twitter

yeah i read this earlier - seems like there is not alot of mods/admins to check any of these suspensions by hand
|
It was bound to happen
|
|
That's what happens when you automate stuff that shouldn't be automated. Flagging accounts is one thing, banning them another.
|
it's starting to crack yo
|
It already cracked. The stats says 70% of the people don't return after one month.
|
I know the one mod that banned an account of mine then reinstated it after a while goes through thousands of suspension tickets a day. I am not even sure if she gets paid by twitter or it is a volunteer gig.

The fake profiles are the ones that drive me nuts... spam spam spam
|
Twitter is good for 1 thing only, spam.
Who the fuck cares about you telling the world that you just bought a pair of shoes or are in the airport waiting for a flight. Live blogging is for idiots who have nothing better to do then lives. I went to a seminar on live blogging in Ohio last year , and eveyone was praising live blogging and such as the next huge thing. I stood up and asked a simple question, how do you make money on it? And the answer i got from everyone was, we dont do it to make money. They all do it for the prestige and to make a name for themselves. I said to all them why the hell would you spend countless hours a day live blogging and making nothing from it, you cant pay bills on your reputation. I pissed off pretty much everyone in the room, and no one would speak to me after that. |

If you don't understand social networking and have a little respect for the people doing it, you are nothing but a dirty spammer. :2 cents: ...not everone makes a living off the net, some people use it for leisure and don't need to depend on it for that. |
I'm surprised there's no feed-driven dating profile twitter accounts yet... At least not the ones I've seen (mostly solo girl).
One would think that since porn pioneers innovated streaming video and affiliate program technology implementations, they'd be on this like white on rice. |
That is some pretty interesting situation, i didnt know that much people are on twitter
|
"Going to bed.... ZZZZZzzzzzzzz"
How interesting! |
Twitter is fucking stupid

I've been pulling at least one new job a day from Twitter. It's a matter of knowing how to put it to work for you, and then doing just that. |
From what I hear twitter is populated by tweenies who over-use the term "like" and have the mentalities of a scrambled egg. :1orglaugh
