It was a great game. I am through the moon happy.
|
Talboooooooooooot !!!!!!!!!

Marc-Andre Fleury was a fucking monster tonight.
What a fucking finish. Hell of a year for Pittsburgh sports. |

In the end, the grinders were the ones that won the day... and there in is a great lesson in life.:2 cents::winkwink:
|
bump for the burgh...that was awesome and to win game 7 away!!!:thumbsup
|
*Note to Hossa* - Enjoy Detroit. :)
|
Pittsburgh becomes the first team in 57 years to win both the Superbowl AND the Stanley Cup in the same year.
TSN is saying it's 55 years, but they're idiots. It was in 1952 that Detroit Lions won the NFL championship game 17-7 over Cleveland, and the Red Wings swept the Habs in 4 straight to win the Lord Stanley. This = some huge feat, and and extra icing on the cake for Pittsburghyonianites. :D |
Us Pittsburgh boys got the fuckin corner on sports wins this last few years. lol :thumbsup
|
I think PA has the highest per capita obesity rates in the country so having two great sport franchises only goes so far when it comes to bragging rights...

PA is about in the middle on the list of fattest states obesity-wise.
http://calorielab.com/news/2008/07/0...t-states-2008/ But 27% obesity isn't something for any state to be proud of either. In 2006 this website stated: "Not even a single U.S. state is near the national goal of reducing the obesity rate to 15% by 2010." and apparently as of this year not much has changed, except that many states have gotten worse - http://health.usnews.com/articles/he...es-report.html But PA isn't in the top 10 worst. |
Here's some light reading on how Canada and the US stack up on obesity...
http://www.statcan.gc.ca/pub/82-620-...8060-eng.htm#5 Get it? "Light" reading? See what mickey did there? I kill me. |
really good game...enjoyed it
|
Big congrats to pens fans
|
