That guy is so brilliant, but he is pretty screwed up. I think 1994 was when he was pretty caught in the throws of heroin. I think he has gotten clean since then, but I don't know that for sure.

I´ve seen this before, there´s a full documentary about him directed by jhonny depp in his early years. this interview is part of that documentary. scary! luckily he went to the other side just to see how it looked like and then came back...

we got to party with him at XXXjay's house.. nice guy

I got to interview the band during the tour for that record. It was an interesting time. Kiedis was just ending his heroin issues (at least for a time) and John was just starting to spiral downward. It is amazing how this band continued to survive through all the issues, drugs and even death they encountered to still be a huge success.
