Rob was one of my first long time clients.

Although I feel bad for him, his content pushed the fucking limits.

He produced some willd shit!!!!!!

I do hope everything works out for him when he gets out...

american pervert 07-01-2009 12:26 PM

the main things he needs to tell his clients is when they are on a nationwide tv show...

DON'T CHALLENGE THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT

and

KEEP A LOW PROFILE

pornguy 07-01-2009 12:33 PM

Ha. For some reason, people around here think that all press is good press.

Rochard 07-01-2009 12:37 PM

I don't understand this. At all.

I recently purchased one of the new James Bond movies on DVD from Amazon.com. Rape is illegal, but so is murder. How come no one got arrested when I purchased a DVD that displays graphic violence, people being murdered, and Daniel Craig having his balls tickled when he's buck ass naked by the bad guy who is whipping his nut sack? \

What's the fucking difference? When Hollywood does it it's considered art, but when we do it it's considered illegal?

Exactly right.

Just as 'most' people keep a low profile with their own neighborhood, and local community. You should error on the side of caution if you are planning to go on national TV shows. Taunting, or cocky remarks are just putting a huge bulls eye on your back.

If history has shown us nothing else. The government likes to go after the super rich, to assess fines and essentially make money/revenue. Or high profile people to make a name for themselves, and show their constituents they are on top of things.

:2 cents:

Rob touched on that at a panel I put him on at Cybernet Expo 2005...

"it's just a fuckin movie" he said... and as far as I'm concerned, he's right.

"Traffic" and "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" and "Kids" can depict underage sex without repurcussions, but Extreme can't put out content with consenting adults?

bad bad bad bad

It's porn, why should anybody go to prison for making niches where all agree as being consenting adults?

Freedom and a person's LIFE is worth whoever runs current politics, law & media then?

Allthough I do not personally support certain niches, but where ever it's still legal and adult people know what they are doing, the freedom of speech comes to mind again here. As long as they are 18+ and very aware of the situation & consiquences and act out of free will, drug-free and not-intoxicated, it should be a free world IMO.

I never really understood why governments and/or politicians interfere with people's personal and intimate sexual lives (unless they looked for it in google and did not like it and therefore used their power to uphold personal beliefs).

Dear Rob Black,

You do NOT deserve to go to jail and have your live fucked over.

If any movie is distubing it's these Hollywood movies like "Hostel" or "Saw" or violent games where you have to shoot people, kill 'm with a chainsaw, rip our their spine (and kids can buy and use them). These creep me out big time.

2012 is a good movie also; billions die (unlike in adult movies where people get paid and live another day for doing or enjoying a personal sexual fetish whcih is a primary need next to food and safety).

american pervert 07-01-2009 03:21 PM

His movie was bought in a community has fucked up obsenity laws. There is a list of zip codes you don't ship to.

Why is prosutation legel in one place and not others??

why is gambling only legal in certain places??

guess what, the world isn't fair, and if you do something that is controversial, keep your fucking head down.

rob is an attention whore, if he decided to not to aim for glory via pbs, he'd still be making his crappy movies.

I don't know the couple in question. Appears they may have asked for it. However, the fact that they are going to jail for this should be scary to every single person on this board.

And when it comes to the internet there should be no community standard. I can understand the community standard if it is sold at a store in a community because then that store is part of said community. But if the product is ordered online and shipped to you the only people who know you have it is you, the person who sold it to you and anyone you decide to tell. There is no community involvement.

It is no different than letting the community decide that books you can order from Amazon or what music you can download from itunes.

But they don't deserve doing hard time like bankrobbers, rapist, child molesters, madoff's & subprime loan inventors...
Their niche is is bit out of the ordinary but still I would rather deal with Rob Black then with Mr. Madoff or put my money in Lehman's. But I guess Lehman guys will not share a cell with Rob (hey, maybe their lies the answer.. where $talks&bs_walks)

Or at least those on this board who are in the biz.

Sadly, I don't think enough people care.

Thats what I ask myself all the time. Americans love violence so murder and torture is fine. Just no fucking. Go rent some Rated R horror flicks. Who is going to say those aren't obscene?

Robbie 07-03-2009 12:02 PM

It's total bullshit. The U.S. govt. is becoming so repressive of people.

Having said that...Rob Black has done some crazy ass shit to get the govt. to target him. First he owned the pro wrestling promotion "Ring Of Honor" and then left that in disgrace after being caught up in some scandal with an underage boy. That kind of stuff just puts you all over the government radar. And with our govt., that's a bad thing. The founding fathers are rolling in their graves right now.

That wasn't Rob Black that owned Ring of Honor, that was a guy named Rob Feinstein that also owned a company called RF Video that sold pro wrestling and MMA videos. Feinstein got caught talking to an underage boy online that was actually an undercover cop. Rob Black owned a wrestling company called XPW that operated from 1999-2003 and was doing ok for itself until the whole Pittsburgh legal issues, and Rob suspended operations of XPW to concentrate on his defense...

While I don't like what they were shooting, and the same goes for Max Hardcore, I don't think nobody should go to jail over it. Yes, they pushed the limits and yes they may have even been asking for unwanted attention, but jail time? Come on, that's bull shit. One more reason I'm glad I don't live in the USA any more.

So the question is, with Rob AND Max in jail, who's next?

For something to be "obscene" it must be shown that the average person, applying contemporary community standards and viewing the material as a whole, would find (1) that the work appeals predominantly to "prurient" interest; (2) that it depicts or describes sexual conduct in a patently offensive way; and (3) that it lacks serious literary, artistic, political or scientific value.

prurient interest :
(Adult / Slang)
A legal term defined, in 1984, by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit as ' a shameful and morbid interest in nudity, sex, or excretion.'

Basically if the rape/murder/torture itself is the only plot you have then don't expect to
win under this statue.
