Thats Airies on top of his big brother Kodie.

Kodie was a rescue animal, found as a kitten after surviving a house fire. He was found in the debris shortly after the fire had been put out. None of his siblings survived.:(

I found Aries on a construction site a few months ago, he had fallen into the footer of the building and could not escape. He was so tiny and in such bad shape, I didn't think he would make it, neither did the vet. But, after weeks of bottle feeding he has come around and now enjoys using Kodie as a pillow.

I know this is GFY, but I just wanted to share two of my best buddies in the world with you all. These two make me smile everyday.:)

Thanks Spunky, I'm still pretty astonished myself. He weighed 3.8oz when I found him. The vet said it looked like he'd been away from his mother and without her milk for at least 3 days prior to my finding him. Before he even offered a course of treatment he warned me that he didn't think he would make it.

Little guys a fighter though, loves to attack feet, his brother, his tail. I'm really glad he pulled through. The vet gave him a clean bill of health today, i'm really excited that he's alright.

I missed this post the first time. Kittens are very fragile little things and often the smallest problem can bring them down.

They best thing that can be done in any event is that the kitten is given a good home and cared for so that it may either grow to be healthy, or at the very least have the oppertunity to pass in the saftey of a place where he or she is loved and cared for.

I took in a puppy a few years back, he was a rescue. Poor little guy had parvo when I got him and the vet and I both knew he wouldn't make it. So I took the time before the illness got to him to bad and gave the little guy a good home, let him eat whatever he wanted, took him on great big long walks, played ball.

When the day came that I had to get him put down it really hurt, but I knew I gave him a great place to be, and he had an extra fun month and a half that I doubt many others would have given him.
