Stupid crappy popcorn makers ..Who owns one
I went out a bought a Rival popcorn maker. These stupid things dont use oil for the corn kernels. All you do is fill the top scoop up with kernels place them in the hole and switch it on and hey presto you have non oily popcorn which is supposed to go into a bowl but instead fucking shoots all over the kitchen.
It works like a hairdryer and there is no way to stop the popcorn from flying in all sorts of directions so dont buy one of these unless you buy a metal helmet and full body armour because the un-poped kernels are fucking hot and sting when they hit you :disgust My misses thought it was funny for some reason when all I wanted was some popcorn not fucking WW3 breaking out in our kitchen http://www.cookingtime.co.uk/images/uploads/pp15s.jpg |
hahahahhahaha, i would almost get one to just give that a go.
"Hon, will you go make popcorn please".....then just sit back and wait! LMAO |

We normally buy the ones in the packet that you just put in the microwave but I thought it would be a good idea to have non-greasy popcorn but after this Im going back to the microwave popcorn |

That maker looks like trouble it doesnt have a spout for the popcorn to be funneled into the bowl haha

I have an ancient air popper.. thing must be from the 80's. But it still works great. :)
Looks more like this, but more 80's. lol http://www.viewpoints.com/images/rev...77549_full.jpg |

Oh man, that reminds me of the ones my family had as a kid. Ours was Yellow but had a little deflector to make it go in the dish. Worked pretty good if I remember right. Melt real butter and pour it on, little bit of salt, good stuff.
That rival one looks poorly designed. I would say to make a little deflector out of tin foil or cardboard and you should be good to go. |
every heard of a microwave?

I have an old one that is not bad because it's simple. Has a nice simple scoop for a top and funnels the popped corn out to the bowl. Has no extra parts or slots to melt butter.
1 simple bag of plain popping corn is only a buck or two and would pop as much as a case of microwave type that comes in boxes and then plastic bags and then special paper popping bags. yeesh, it's just popcorn. Gonna take 5 minutes at 1200 watts either way. |
