Mick Jagger's been in the biz for decades, just like Michael. I'm sure the Stones have influenced all sorts of bands and people. Will Jagger's death get as much attention as MJs?

They have like 5 good songs.. But wait so did MJ.. hmmmmm

I think it will depend on the cause of his death...
a simple heart attack won't get the attention of being found handcuffed in a pool of blood at his mitress' house while her dismembered body lies just mere feet away...

Well once Mick dies he'll have at least the age for it and his career was massively more standard in terms of the rock celebrity life - couple kids on the side, affairs with models and all kinds of women that were decades younger, lots of narcissism, french kissing Ronnie Wood on the stage etc..

So no I don't believe it would get that much attention, he was not a solo artist neither, and I don't believe he would ever get 10 pct. of the obsession that Michael J. got.

Not to mention Michael J. 's ability to make EVERYONE know he's around with some of the most media spread scandals and regular bankrupcy stories.

Jagger won't have more attention because his family and friends will respect is death and there will have no need to make a circus like Jackson's family did.

Honestly I think he will get as much attention, but more positive. MJ is clouded in mystery but Mick has it all, sex - drugs - rock and roll. It will be just be covered differently same as the songs.

Remember when Freddie died from Queen? Same will be true with Mick - they'll do a major concert with celeb singers redoing his songs as a tribute.

Neither of these celebrities has been as much in the media spotlight over weird shit and controversy in recent years. Sure, people would mourn, but there wouldn't be as much of a media spectacle and circus as after MJ's death.
