Lets face it, everyone of us knows people who cheat. Some people don't even try to hide it from their friends

I am with someone who is talking about a "lifetime" together. It makes me wonder if it is realistic for two people to actually be exclusive with each other for several decades.

Is it best to just have an open relationship? I am against it but not sure if I am just a romantic who thinks people can be in love and also be hot for each other for the rest of their lives.

So anyone been married for a long time? What is your experience?

Sure, as you said everyone knows people who cheat. I've known tons who've cheated on their significant others.

But I also know and have known several couples who have never cheated and remain 100% commited.

So I know it's possible.

Its definitely very do-able, but it takes interest and effort from BOTH people, through some pretty tough conditions.

I have been very happily married for 14 years now but I do have sexual encounters with other women.
