750,000 pics - Olympus e10 [PIC]
Our 8-yr-old Olympus e10 just rolled over its 750,000th shot this past weekend in the studio.
Although I usually shoot with a Nikon d80 - I still use the e10 in the studio because of its great glass and pass-thru mirror that allows live previews on an external monitor. Akin to the million-mile Volkswagon...the e10 has been a helluva great camera and owes us nothing at this stage. Dropped it once years ago into a rocky river bed and had it rebuilt at a cost of $1,100 a few months later. Actual 3/4-million shot from Sunday (setup and lighting test)... http://chamberofchains.com/misc/kni0094.jpg |
Congrats.
Its always nice to buy something that pays for itself 10x over. :thumbsup |

In the mid-80s I had a first-generation 8mm Sony V5 camcorder that I put through hell and shot video with for a decade before it finally konked out. Towards the end we tried killin' it and failed (two hours of salt spray recording a sunrise on a beach in Barbados). Best $2200 I ever invested in electronics. |
wow, that's a boatload of pics...
