yes I know she is frighteningly thin now but she is still undeniably beautiful. I came across Mika almost 3 years ago as an 18 year old on Model Mayhem, she was a Suicide Girl, the most beautiful one I'd ever seen and a fiercely loyal one, when I told her that the Suicide Girls exclusive modeling contract was a crock of shit she was done talking to me.

Time passed and a year or so ago I just thought I'd send her a message again, the Suicide Girl exclusive modeling contract had been declared illegal in the interim. She was over her Suicide Girl infatuation anyway. My photog John had always wanted to shoot her so even though she was an alt girl with tattoos and piercings he submitted her to Met-Art, Met-Art loved her, 'we make exception for her' - she would have been the first alt girl ever on Met-Art. So John and her set up a shoot up, booked her air ticket - for a few days in December shortly before she was to leave to study art in Italy. She is a true bohemian artist, has already lived in more international cities than most will visit. Her mom is dying and was in a bad way last December so she wanted to spend the time before she left for school abroad with her mom and cancelled. John was out the 800 dollar airfare.

Last week John was to meet another girl in Seattle and since he had stayed in touch with Mika he wanted to meet her and at least get some shots of her, so that's what he did.
