IS firefox 3.5 running "bulky" for anyone?

this is the only update ive ever had a problem with.

anyone else?

TheSenator 08-31-2009 09:42 PM

My firefox 3.5.2 is extremely fast on my Vista 64bit system.

sandman! 08-31-2009 09:46 PM

300mb more ram usage compared to last version.

Moses G 08-31-2009 10:28 PM

saving pictures takes a bit, but thats the only thing i have noticed.

hypedough 09-01-2009 01:42 AM

I did a clean install after it kept crashing on every launch in Snow Leopard. Now it's fucking blazing fast. I suggest a clean install and get rid of any add-ons.

buyandsell 09-01-2009 07:23 AM

it sucked for me i went back to 3.0.12

Wizzo 09-01-2009 07:30 AM

That is the key they said.

TheSenator 09-01-2009 08:05 AM

Don't understand why so many people are having problems.

I have installed the latest FireFox on an old laptop and works fine. Disable all your add-ons and anything else. See if that changes stuff around and also update to the latest JAVA.

Make sure to uninstall JAVA and install a clean version.

Running 3.5.2 and it's fuckin' irritating! It keep crashing, worst than IE !! I'm starting to use Chrome alot because of the new FF bugs.

Klen 09-01-2009 08:12 AM

I had problems with it then i removed stuartd extension and now it works fine.

what is that?

I just noticed how much RAM 3.5.2 is taking. everything runs fine, but 300mb RAM is surprising

Spunky 09-01-2009 08:30 AM

Seems to crash more often for me

MetaMan 09-01-2009 09:27 AM

i switched to chrome i have no need for developers who fuck with a good formula. things should be getting lighter and cleaner not bulky and more unstable.

Might as well use Google Chrome if your not going to use any add-ons. :2 cents:

SykkBoy 09-01-2009 09:29 AM

I got rid of the skype add on and it seemed to have cleared up about 95% of the problems I was having...

LadyMischief 09-01-2009 09:30 AM

It's running slow as shit.

96ukssob 09-01-2009 09:35 AM

installed it on my gf's laptop and runs slow as shit. pages freeze and every so often the browser crashes

pornocruto 09-01-2009 09:44 AM

Sure it uses more ram, a bit buggy but still better than IE.

woj 09-01-2009 09:45 AM

I have no problems here at all with it on multiple machines... you guys are probably using some incompatible plugin or wrong version of flash or java or something..

I've had strange and fucking annoying experience with FF 3.5 for a while. Sometimes I was unable to navigate between tabs while one was loading, and similar shit. Googled this w.o success...

Than I disabled all plugins/addons. It went lightning fast. Thus, I started to enable one by one. I don't remember which was the guilty one, but there was a single addon causing the mess.

epitome 09-01-2009 11:40 AM

I got over 1,000,000 the day before yesterday.

I cannot ever recall that happening.
